Saudi Arabia To Allow Vaccinated Tourists From 1st August

Fully vaccinated tourists are allowed to enter Saudi Arabia from 1st August 2021 without the need to quarantine. Tourists will have to provide a negative PCR test (conducted 72 hours prior to departure), along with proof of approved vaccination.

Approved Covid-19 vaccinations in Saudi Arabia are:

  • AstraZeneca – 2 doses
  • Pfizer – 2 doses
  • Moderna – 2 doses
  • Johnson & Johnson – 1 dose

If travelers have taken 2 doses of Sinovac or Sinopharm vaccines then they will have to get a booster shot of any one of above approved vaccines.

Tourists will be required to register on Muqeem platform and update information related to Covid-19 vaccination. Once the vaccination information is updated in Muqeem, tourists will be required to register on “Tawakkalna” application.

Tawakkalna contains the immune status related to Covid-19 and is required to enter into malls, parks, restaurants & other public places. To accommodate travelers registration on Tawakkalna can be done by providing passport details.

Travelers shall adhere to precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Health i.e. in public places wearing a face mask and maintain physical distancing.
