On 4th August, 2021, 100% Saudization in malls & closed commercial complexes came into effect in all of Saudi Arabia. This decision will create 15,000 jobs for citizens in all professions in malls including management offices.

Few activities in malls have been exempt from 100% Saudization:

• Cafes – where Saudization rate shall be 50%
• Restaurants – where Saudization rate shall be 40%
• Hypermarkets & Supermarkets

Following professions are also excluded from 100% Saudization:

• Barber Shops
• Shipment
• Loading & Unloading
• Cleaning
• Maintenance of recreational facilities

Apart from this the rate of Saudization in sales outlets for restaurants & cafes, central supply market outlets will also be increased. It is expected that after implementation of all these decisions in total 51,000 jobs will be created for citizens.
