Last month we decided to visit Jubail, a tour that was long due!!! In order to plan things earlier, we made our booking in advance online with booking.com for Mergab Tower Hotel Apartments. They have deals online. This hotel is located in middle of the city which is only 20 minutes drive to the Fanateer beach. It is not very discomforting as the hotels available near Fanateer are quite expensive, so why spend 1000 SAR or more when in few minutes you can reach the beach plus admire the city of beautiful scenery.  If you are in shopping mood, you can go to the Al Jubail Mall that is located right next to the hotel.

One night stay at Mergab Tower hotel apartment will cost you around 270-300 SAR including breakfast, depending on the deals available. We didn’t hear about this hotel apartment from anyone before, just searched it online and it turned out to be one of the nicest hotels we stayed in kingdom. The apartment was spacious and clean and bedding was as white as new. The lounge had a set of sofas, fridge, TV and kettle to make coffee or tea depending on your liking. Our apartment had a window from where you can see the beach although it was far but you can peek a boo.

The washroom was spacious and neat up to our liking but it had a little smell which went away after a while as we turned on the exhaust fan. The staff was very accommodating and cooperative.  The staff was communicating in English, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu so communication was not a problem.

The hotel also had an underground parking area which is not very spacious but you will find some place to park your car. Even if the underground parking is full, there is a lot of parking space outside Al Jubail Mall, which is just next to the hotel.

The hotel offers breakfast, included in the overall cost of the apartment. The timings are from 6 am to 9 am but sooner you get there, the better. Breakfast has different range of items. Various kinds of cheeses, salads, olives and fruits are the healthy options. You can also find nutella, jams, boiled eggs, white and brown breads, coffee and tea. They also serve some juices. A chef there is making fresh omelet for everyone depending on the order. There is no separate area for breakfast, they serve it in the lounge in front of the reception and there is small corner available where few people can sit on tables to enjoy the meal. The limited seating is not a problem as they offered us to take the breakfast upstairs in the rooms, especially when you are with family.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience staying at Mergab Tower Hotel Apartment, money well spent. If one has to score, I will rate it:

Check in time: They said that the check in time is 3:00 pm but as we reached there early at 12, they made the room available.
